_________________ moved that HJR 1004 be amended as follows:

     On page 1 , line 14 of the printed resolution , remove the overstrikes from everything after "rule." and insert " A circuit judge, having established a voting residency within a particular geographic area within the state, or any of its political subdivisions, may not be permanently transferred to a different geographic area during that judge's term of office. This provision does not prevent expansion or consolidation of circuit boundaries.

     If a vacancy occurs in the office of circuit judge, the Supreme Court shall determine, within ninety days of receiving notice of the vacancy from the Governor and in consultation with the judges and attorneys in the affected judicial circuit, whether that office is necessary for effective judicial administration, or whether the position may be transferred to a different location to fulfill a need for judicial services. " .

     On page 1 , delete line 15 .
