AN ACT

        ENTITLED, An Act to  make an appropriation to defray operation costs of the 24/7 sobriety program and to declare an emergency.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA:
     Section 1.  There is hereby appropriated from the law enforcement officers training fund the sum of four hundred thousand dollars ($ 400,000 ), or so much thereof as may be necessary, to the Office of the Attorney General's 24/7 sobriety fund, to defray costs of operating the 24/7 sobriety program.
     Section 2.  The attorney general shall approve vouchers and the state auditor shall draw warrants to pay expenditures authorized by this Act.
     Section 3.  Whereas, this Act is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, or safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
