        FOR AN ACT ENTITLED, An Act to make an appropriation for increased reimbursement for care of residents of nursing facilities and assisted living facilities.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA:
    Section 1. There is hereby appropriated from the general fund the sum of eight million dollars ($8,000,000), or so much thereof as may be necessary, to the Department of Human Services for the purpose of increasing reimbursements for nursing and assisted living facilities.
    Section 2. There is hereby appropriated the sum of ten million seven hundred seventy-four thousand nine hundred thirty-five dollars ($10,774,935) of federal fund expenditure authority, or so much thereof as may be necessary, to the Department of Human Services for the exclusive purpose of providing reimbursement for the purpose of care for residents of nursing and assisted living facilities.
    Section 3. The secretary of the Department of Human Services shall approve vouchers and the state auditor shall draw warrants to pay expenditures authorized by this Act.
    Section 4. Any amounts appropriated in this Act not lawfully expended or obligated shall revert in accordance with the procedures prescribed in chapter 4-8.
