The Filter option allows you to narrow your search results to a specific Title, Article, or Chapter . Here is a tip for using the filter option.
  • Use a colon (:) as the last character of your filter to refine searches. For example the filter "10:01" returns the article, chapters, and sections in 10:01.

Quick Find



Enter a Rule Number and click Get Rule to load the Rule. You can enter any Article, Chapter, or Section number. Examples(01:15, 01:15:01, 01:15:01:01, etc.). Use the Get All button to load and entire article or chapter.

          41:04:05:15.  Audible signals. The following audible signals shall be used:

          (1)  When boats approach head-on or nearly so, each boat shall sound one blast and the boats shall pass port to port;

          (2)  When a boat approaches another on the starboard side, each boat shall sound two blasts and the boats shall pass starboard to starboard;

          (3)  When a boat overtakes another on the starboard side, each boat shall sound one blast;

          (4)  When a boat overtakes another on the port side, each boat shall sound two blasts;

          (5)  Three blasts mean backing up;

          (6)  Four blasts mean danger.
