Actions against county commissioners for misconduct in office.
It shall be the duty
of the state's attorney to begin and prosecute a civil action or actions on behalf of the county against
the county commissioners, or any one or more of them, for malfeasance in office, misappropriation
of public funds, or other misconduct whenever there is reasonable cause therefor and he shall be
requested so to do by a written petition signed by fifteen resident taxpayers of the county.
