___________________ moved that SB 171 be amended as follows:

     On the printed bill, delete everything after the enacting clause and insert:

"      Section 1. No county, municipal, or school official may vote on any issue in which the official has a conflict of interest. However, no such official may vote on a issue if the official has a direct pecuniary interest in the matter before the governing body. If an official with a direct pecuniary interest votes on a matter before the governing body, the legal sole remedy is to invalidate that official's vote."
