Department of Transportation: (May 6, 1999) is proposing rules to amend a speed zone on US Highway 14 through Brookings and to change the speed zone signs in Brookings County to reflect the change in highway number from Highway 324 to Highway 218. The general authority for these rules, as cited by the department, is SDCL 32-25-7.

A public hearing will be held in the Commission Room, Becker-Hansen Building, 700 East Broadway, Pierre, South Dakota, on May 27, 1999, at 9:05 a.m. Copies of the proposed rules may be obtained from and written comments sent to the Secretary of Transportation, Room 202, Becker-Hansen Building, 700 East Broadway, Pierre, SD 57501-2586. Material sent by mail must be received by May 26, 1999, to be considered. This hearing is being held in a physically accessible place. Persons who have special needs for which the department can make arrangements are asked to call (605) 773-3265 before the hearing.

Department of Labor: Division of Labor and Management: (May 7, 1999) is considering rules to change workers' compensation managed care plans to workers' compensation case management plans. The general authority for these rules, as cited by the department, is SDCL 58-20-24, 60-5-18, and 62-5-21.

A public hearing will be held in Conference Room 2, 1st Floor, Kneip Building, 700 Governors Drive, Pierre, South Dakota, on June 10, 1999, at 10:00 a.m. Copies of the proposed rules may be obtained from and written comments sent to the South Dakota Department of Labor, Division of Labor and Management, Kneip Building, 700 Governors Drive, Pierre, SD 57501-2291. Material sent by mail must be received by June 21, 1999, to be considered. Rules Review Committee Meeting

The next meeting of the Interim Rules Review Committee will be held Wednesday, June 16, 1999, in Legislative Conference Rooms 1 and 2, Third Floor, State Capitol, Pierre, starting at 9:00 a.m. Agencies whose rules have had a public hearing are asked to have a representative present at the meeting to give background information on their rules.
