The Filter option allows you to narrow your search results to a specific Title, Article, or Chapter . Here is a tip for using the filter option.
  • Use a colon (:) as the last character of your filter to refine searches. For example the filter "10:01" returns the article, chapters, and sections in 10:01.

Enter a Rule Number and click Get Rule to load the Rule. You can enter any Article, Chapter, or Section number. Examples(01:15, 01:15:01, 01:15:01:01, etc.). Use the Get All button to load and entire article or chapter.

          20:38:31:01.  Experience required. Experience is required in accordance with the provisions of this chapter. Experience credit may be granted for part-time and full-time work, but overtime will not be considered. The board may require as evidence of experience, exhibits of plans, specifications, and other technical submissions in the preparation of which the applicant participated, together with a statement from the licensed professional in responsible charge of the work attesting to the extent of the applicant's involvement. For land surveying applicants, experience prior to completion of education shall be in accordance with § 20:38:31:04. For other applicants, experience prior to completion of education may be granted experience credit at the rate of one-half year for each full year of experience, not to exceed one year total experience credit. Of this, no more than six months may be credited to any student for work experience gained during the summer breaks. Work experience under the direct supervision of a design professional licensed in a foreign country shall be evaluated by the board. Work experience credit gained in the armed services must be of a character equivalent to that which would have been gained in the civilian sector doing similar work, such as service in an architectural, engineering, or engineering-related group.

 

          For an applicant with a degree from a foreign education program, experience must include a minimum of two years of qualifying experience gained in the United States. An applicant must be proficient in English.
