___________________ moved that HB 1229 be amended as follows:

     On page 1 , line 12 of the printed bill, delete " 2006 " and insert " 2005 ".

     On page 2, after line 22, insert:

"

     Section 4. That chapter 26-6 be amended by adding thereto a NEW SECTION to read as follows:

    

     Notwithstanding §  26-6-14.1, any person who provides family day care for seven to twelve children from more than one unrelated family as of July 1, 2005, and who does not receive direct or indirect public funds for the provision of family day care, shall complete self declaration forms prescribed by the department by October 1, 2005. The department shall issue a restricted registration certificate to any such person that meets the minimum standards required by §  26-6-14.2.".
