44:73:06:04. Nursing policies and procedures. The facility shall establish and maintain policies and procedures that assist the nursing staff with meeting the following administrative and technical responsibilities:
(1) The noting of diagnostic and therapeutic orders;
(2) Assigning the nursing care of residents;
(3) Administration and control of medications;
(4) Charting by nurses;
(5) Documentation by healthcare personnel;
(6) Infection control;
(7) Resident safety;
(8) Delineation of orders from nonphysician practitioners; and
(9) Activities of daily living to maintain each resident's physical functioning and personal care.
For the purposes of this section, the term "activities of daily living" means tasks of transferring, moving about, dressing, grooming, toileting, bathing, and eating performed routinely by a person to maintain physical functioning and personal care.
