A LEGISLATIVE COMMEMORATION,
Honoring Dr. Thomas R. Hills of Black Hills State
University on twenty-five years of outstanding service to the South Dakota Legislative
Internship Program.
WHEREAS,
Dr. Thomas R. Hills, professor of political science at Black Hills State
University, began serving as a campus coordinator for the South Dakota Legislative Internship
Program during the 1977-78 school year; and
WHEREAS,
Dr. Hills, since that first year, has assisted in the recruitment of over one
hundred Black Hills State University students as legislative interns and has served as a valuable
mentor to these students; and
WHEREAS,
Dr. Hills has been a model campus coordinator and a valuable advisor to, and
a promoter of, the South Dakota Legislative Internship Program, year after year; and
WHEREAS,
this year marks the twenty-fifth consecutive year in which Dr. Hills has served
as a campus coordinator for the South Dakota Legislative Internship Program at Black Hills
State University:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT COMMEMORATED,
by the Seventy-seventh Legislature of
the State of South Dakota, that Dr. Thomas R. Hills of Black Hills State University be hereby
recognized, congratulated, and thanked for twenty-five years of dedicated and outstanding
service to the South Dakota Legislature as a campus coordinator for the South Dakota
Legislative Internship Program.
