An Act to license and regulate out-of-state multi-jurisdictional totalizator hubs.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of South Dakota:

Section 1. That a NEW SECTION be added:

42-7-58.8. Out-of-state multi-jurisdictional totalizator hubs--Fees.

Notwithstanding any other provision of this chapter, the commission may license and regulate multi-jurisdictional totalizator hubs located outside of this state that conduct pari-mutuel wagering on horse and dog races and accept wagers from residents of this state at out-state-facilities. The commission may impose and collect fees pursuant to this section in the same manner as a multi-jurisdictional totalizator hub located in this state.
