A LEGISLATIVE COMMEMORATION, To honor and commend South Dakota's middle school honoree for the Prudential Spirit of Community Awards, North Neff.

WHEREAS, the Prudential Spirit of Community Awards was created in 1995 to honor middle school and high school students for outstanding service in their local, state, and national level communities; and

WHEREAS, this award is given to only two students in each state who have made a greater impact by utilizing their time and resources for the betterment of their communities; and

WHEREAS, eleven-year-old North Neff, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, provided more than $5,000 worth of food, vaccines, and other essential items for shelter animals at his local Humane Society; and

WHEREAS, North represents our future generation of the great state of South Dakota by going above and beyond to help his community. North used his talents to inspire and create lasting change that will outlive his good deeds:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT COMMEMORATED, by the Ninety-Sixth Legislature of the State of South Dakota, that the Legislature honors and commends North Neff for their astounding achievement in being named the middle school South Dakota honoree for the Prudential Spirit of Community Awards.
