An Act to make technical changes to provisions regarding the compensation of agents.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of South Dakota:

Section 1. That § 32-2-10 be AMENDED:

32-2-10. The compensation of each of the agents, patrolmen, and employees agent, patrolman, and employee of the Division of Highway Patrol shall be fixed is set by the Department of Public Safety. Any employee who has worked five years under the provisions of chapter 3-7 shall be is entitled to longevity compensation each month equal to four dollars for each year of all continuous service up to a maximum of twenty‑five years. Such The longevity compensation shall may not be affected by any other compensation and classification plan except that the secretary of public safety shall distribute the longevity compensation in the same manner and form as prescribed for other state employees in § 3-8-6.
