An Act to modify the community paramedic endorsement.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of South Dakota:

Section 1. That § 36-4B-18.2 be AMENDED:

36-4B-18.2. A community paramedic endorsement is hereby created. The board may issue a community paramedic endorsement to a person an individual who is licensed as a paramedic and:

(1) Is licensed as a paramedic;

(2) Completes the education requirements and training approved by the board and promulgated in accordance with § 36-4B-35; and

(3) Applies on a form prescribed by the board or

(2) Is certified as a community paramedic by the International Board of Specialty Certification.
