A LEGISLATIVE COMMEMORATION, Commending the Sioux Valley High School
Competitive Cheer Team and coaches for the 2014 South Dakota State Class A Competitive
Cheer championship.
WHEREAS, The Sioux Valley High School Competitive Cheer Team worked and trained
hard for their 2014 season; and
WHEREAS, The Sioux Valley High School Competitive Cheer Team has won the South
Dakota State Class A championship for a consecutive eight years, having won the competition
every year since competitive cheerleading became a sanctioned sport in 2007; and
WHEREAS, The team consisted of Beylee Bezdichek, Taryn Bolstad, Rachel Cotton,
Ayrika Dempsey, Natalie Gunderson, Nicole Intermill, Cori Liedtke, Baylea Lucas, Mariah
Nelson, Anna Protasova, Brianna Richarz, Jordyn Ringheimer, Sarah Roseland, Dani Seibel,
Kylie Sheets, Ashlyn Spilde, Delanie Tangen, Lauren Taylor, Jolien Verpaalen, Francine
Verpaalen, Carly Ward , Hannah Wozniak; and
WHEREAS, Coaches Casie King and Emily Howell inspired the team with encouragement
and leadership to excel in the sport:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT COMMEMORATED, by the Ninetieth Legislature of the State
of South Dakota, that the 2014 Sioux Valley High School Competitive Cheer Team be honored
for their 2014 South Dakota State Class A Competitive Cheer championship season.
