FOR AN ACT ENTITLED, An Act to provide for a form a physician must use to obtain consent
to an abortion.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA:
Section 1. That chapter 34-23A be amended by adding a NEW SECTION to read:

Section 1. That chapter 34-23A be amended by adding a NEW SECTION to read:
To meet the requirement of subdivision 34-23A-10.1(1), a physician shall use a form
prescribed by the department. The department shall promulgate rules pursuant to chapter 1-26
specifying the form necessary to meet the requirement of this section.
Section 2. This Act is effective January 1, 2020.
