The ICF/IID may not issue orders for restraint on a standing or as needed basis.</p> <p class=MsoNormal>&nbsp;</p> <p class=MsoNormal>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Any person placed in restraint must be checked at least every 30 minutes or more frequently, as prescribed by the approved behavior treatment plan, by staff trained in the use of restraints, and released from the restraint as quickly as possible. Staff shall make a record of these checks and usage of the restraints.</p> <p class=MsoNormal>&nbsp;</p> <p class=MsoNormal>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Restraints must be designed and used so as not to cause physical injury to the person and so as to cause the least possible discomfort.
