<html> <head> <title>Rule 48:02:02:01 Additional qualifications for licensure.</title> <META NAME="Keywords" Content="Administrative Rules 48:02:02:01"> <META NAME="Description" Content="Administrative Rules 48:02:02:01 Additional qualifications for licensure."> <meta name=Generator content="Microsoft Office HTML Filter 2.0"> <meta http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=windows-1252"> <meta name=Originator content="Microsoft Word 10"> <style> <!-- --> </style> </head> <body lang=EN-US> <div> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <b>48:02:02:01.&nbsp;&nbsp;Additional qualifications for licensure.</b> In addition to the qualifications required in SDCL <A HREF="/statutes/DisplayStatute.aspx?Type=Statute&Statute=42-7A-43">42-7A-43</A>, the commission may not grant a video lottery license until the commission is satisfied that the applicant is:</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; (1)&nbsp;&nbsp;A person of good character, honesty, and integrity;</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; (2)&nbsp;&nbsp;A person whose background, including criminal record, reputation, and associations do not pose a threat to the public interest of the state or to the security and integrity of the lottery;</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; (3)&nbsp;&nbsp;A person who, either individually or through employees, demonstrates business ability and experience to establish, operate, and maintain the business for the type of license for which application is made;</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; (4)&nbsp;&nbsp;A person who demonstrates adequate financing for the business proposed under the type of license for which application is made.
