For a law enforcement officer, conservation officer, and university law enforcement officer, the probationary period is the first twelve months after the employee's hire date within the civil service.</p> <p class=MsoNormal>&nbsp;</p> <p class=MsoNormal>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; A probationary period may not be extended. Temporary service may not be credited toward the probationary period.
