The additional lights must be attached to the poles. The additional lights required are as follows:</span></p><p dir="ltr" class="s5eae13d5-d281-4827-8373-195861812aefNormal"><span xml:space="preserve" class="s5eae13d5-d281-4827-8373-195861812aef000003"> </span></p><p dir="ltr" class="s5eae13d5-d281-4827-8373-195861812aefNormal"><span xml:space="preserve" class="s5eae13d5-d281-4827-8373-195861812aefDefaultParagraphFont">    (1)  Tail lights when lighted must emit a red light which is plainly visible from a distance of 1,000 feet to the rear and must be provided as follows:</span></p><p dir="ltr" class="s5eae13d5-d281-4827-8373-195861812aefNormal"><span xml:space="preserve" class="s5eae13d5-d281-4827-8373-195861812aef000003"> </span></p><p dir="ltr" class="s5eae13d5-d281-4827-8373-195861812aefNormal"><span xml:space="preserve" class="s5eae13d5-d281-4827-8373-195861812aefDefaultParagraphFont">        (a)  At least one tail light must be attached to the left rear corner of the poles if the end of the poles is two feet wide or less;</span></p><p dir="ltr" class="s5eae13d5-d281-4827-8373-195861812aefNormal"><span xml:space="preserve" class="s5eae13d5-d281-4827-8373-195861812aefDefaultParagraphFont">        (b)  At least two tail lights, one on each rear corner of the poles, must be attached to the poles if the end of the poles is wider than two feet;</span></p><p dir="ltr" class="s5eae13d5-d281-4827-8373-195861812aefNormal"><span xml:space="preserve" class="s5eae13d5-d281-4827-8373-195861812aef000003"> </span></p><p dir="ltr" class="s5eae13d5-d281-4827-8373-195861812aefNormal"><span xml:space="preserve" class="s5eae13d5-d281-4827-8373-195861812aefDefaultParagraphFont">    (2)  A rear clearance light must be attached to each side of the extreme rear corners of the poles and, when lighted, must emit a red light which is plainly visible from a distance of 500 feet to each side;</span></p><p dir="ltr" class="s5eae13d5-d281-4827-8373-195861812aefNormal"><span xml:space="preserve" class="s5eae13d5-d281-4827-8373-195861812aef000003"> </span></p><p dir="ltr" class="s5eae13d5-d281-4827-8373-195861812aefNormal"><span xml:space="preserve" class="s5eae13d5-d281-4827-8373-195861812aefDefaultParagraphFont">    (3)  If the distance between side lights on the vehicle exceeds 30 feet, side marker lights must be placed on the trailer or poles at or near the midpoint between the visible side lights and, when lighted, must emit an amber light which is plainly visible from a distance of 500 feet to each side.</span></p><p dir="ltr" class="s5eae13d5-d281-4827-8373-195861812aefNormal"><span xml:space="preserve" class="s5eae13d5-d281-4827-8373-195861812aef000003"> </span></p><p dir="ltr" class="s5eae13d5-d281-4827-8373-195861812aefNormal"><span xml:space="preserve" class="s5eae13d5-d281-4827-8373-195861812aefDefaultParagraphFont">    The tail light may also function as the rear clearance light if it meets clearance light visibility requirements.
