Each halfway house shall be operated by a unit of local government, the Department of Corrections, or any private individual, partnership, corporation, or association. A halfway house may provide:</span></p><p dir="ltr" class="s2049390Normal-000001"><span class="s2049390DefaultParagraphFont">(1)    Monitoring of the activities of inmates;</span></p><p dir="ltr" class="s2049390Normal-000001"><span class="s2049390DefaultParagraphFont">(2)    Oversight of victim restitution and community service by inmates;</span></p><p dir="ltr" class="s2049390Normal-000001"><span class="s2049390DefaultParagraphFont">(3)    Day reporting programs; and</span></p><p dir="ltr" class="s2049390Normal-000001"><span class="s2049390DefaultParagraphFont">(4)    Programs and services to aid inmates in obtaining and holding regular employment, enrolling in and maintaining academic courses, participating in vocational training programs, utilizing the resources of the community, meeting the personal and family needs of inmates, obtaining appropriate treatment for inmates, and participating in whatever specialized programs exist within the community and other services and programs as may be appropriate to aid in inmate rehabilitation and public safety.</span></p><p dir="ltr" class="s2049390Normal"><span xml:space="preserve" class="s2049390000002"> </span></p><p dir="ltr" class="s2049390Normal"><span class="s2049390SCL">Source:</span><span xml:space="preserve" class="s2049390SCL-000003"> SL 2016, ch 139, § 1.</span></p></div></body></html>
