disposable substances that carry pathogenic organisms; and surgical operating room pathogenic specimens or substances that carry pathogenic organisms.</span></p><p dir="ltr" class="s2058473Normal-000001"><span class="s2058473DefaultParagraphFont">The following do not constitute infectious waste:</span></p><p dir="ltr" class="s2058473Normal-000002"><span class="s2058473DefaultParagraphFont">(1)    Hazardous waste;</span></p><p dir="ltr" class="s2058473Normal-000002"><span class="s2058473DefaultParagraphFont">(2)    Household waste or household</span><span class="s2058473DefaultParagraphFont-000003">-</span><span class="s2058473DefaultParagraphFont">type waste generated in a facility;</span></p><p dir="ltr" class="s2058473Normal-000002"><span class="s2058473DefaultParagraphFont">(3)    Ash from incineration of regulated medical waste;</span></p><p dir="ltr" class="s2058473Normal-000002"><span class="s2058473DefaultParagraphFont">(4)    Residues from treatment and destruction processes once the waste has been both treated and stored;</span></p><p dir="ltr" class="s2058473Normal-000002"><span class="s2058473DefaultParagraphFont">(5)    Human corpses, remains, and anatomical parts that are intended for interment or cremation;</span></p><p dir="ltr" class="s2058473Normal-000002"><span class="s2058473DefaultParagraphFont">(6)    Etiologic agents being transported interstate pursuant to applicable shipping requirements;</span></p><p dir="ltr" class="s2058473Normal-000002"><span class="s2058473DefaultParagraphFont">(7)    Samples of regulated medical waste transported off</span><span class="s2058473DefaultParagraphFont-000003">-</span><span class="s2058473DefaultParagraphFont">site for enforcement purposes by the United States Environmental Protection Agency or the state;
