However, a vehicle not designed for travel on the public highway that is licensed is a motor vehicle for purposes of § </span><a href="https://sdlegislature.gov/Statutes/Codified_Laws/DisplayStatute.aspx?Type=Statute&amp;Statute=58-23-8"><span class="s2075692DefaultParagraphFont">58-23-8</span></a><span class="s2075692DefaultParagraphFont">.
