The local person in charge of an election shall certify that the minimum number of signatures required pursuant to § </span><a href="https://sdlegislature.gov/Statutes/Codified_Laws/DisplayStatute.aspx?Type=Statute&amp;Statute=6-17-2"><span class="s2035036DefaultParagraphFont">6-17-2</span></a><span xml:space="preserve" class="s2035036DefaultParagraphFont"> have been filed.</span></p><p dir="ltr" class="s2035036Normal-000001"><span class="s2035036DefaultParagraphFont">The local government entity governing boards shall submit the resolution to a vote in the next general election after filing in all affected local government entities.
