However, a creditor or lien holder of a mobile home classified as a homestead under § </span><a href=\"https://sdlegislature.gov/Statutes/Codified_Laws/DisplayStatute.aspx?Type=Statute&amp;Statute=43-31-2\"><span class=\"s2065517DefaultParagraphFont\">43-31-2</span></a><span xml:space=\"preserve\" class=\"s2065517DefaultParagraphFont\"> prior to January 1, 1973, may not be cut off and is not subject to a homestead exemption.
