On page 1, of the Senate Education Committee engrossed bill, delete lines 5 to 11, inclusive
and insert "
Each student enrolled in a school district or state-accredited nonpublic school shall complete a
civics test to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of the history,
principles, and form of the United States government before graduating from high school. A student
may take the test at any time after enrolling in grade nine.".
