HB 1216      to repeal the inheritance tax over a period of time.
          Representatives Konold, Apa, Brown (Jarvis), Chicoine, Gleason, Peterson (Bill), Schaunaman, Solum, Van Gerpen, Volesky, Weber, and Wetz and Senators Flowers and Drake

HB 1183      to increase certain sales and use taxes, to provide property tax relief, to repeal the inheritance tax, and to exempt certain realty improvement contracts from the contractor's excise tax and to refer those questions to a vote of the electors of this state at the next general election.

HB 1266      to repeal the inheritance tax.

HJR 1007      Proposing and submitting to the electors at the next general election a new section to Article XI of the Constitution of the State of South Dakota, imposing an individual and corporate income tax, exempting food, utilities, residential heating fuel, certain intrastate transportation services, collection and disposal of solid waste, and auction goods from sales and use taxes, providing property tax relief through the general fund levy of a school district, and increasing state aid to education.
          Representatives Waltman, Cerny, Crisp, Kazmerzak, Koetzle, Lee, Lockner, Schrempp, Sperry, and Weber and Senators Lange and Hutmacher

NOTE: The above bills will be taken up in this order for a hearing on the date noted. If circumstances do not permit a hearing on this date then a hearing will be held at the next meeting of the committee. Action on a bill may come at any time after it has had a hearing.
