         FOR AN ACT ENTITLED, An Act to  establish certain provisions regarding the custody and placement of Indian children.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA:
     Section  1.  The court shall consider the unique values of the child's tribal culture when making a determination that serves in the best interest of the child during a child placement or custody proceeding. The court shall comply with the provisions of the federal Indian Child Welfare Act, Pub. L. No. 95-608, as codified in 25U.S.C., Chapter 21, as amended to January 1, 2005.
