         FOR AN ACT ENTITLED, An Act to  clarify how certain registered livestock brands held in joint tenancy may be transferred.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA:
     Section  1.  That chapter 40-19 be amended by adding thereto a NEW SECTION to read as follows:
     Any transfer of a livestock brand registered in the name of more than one person requires the written consent of all registered owners.
