An Act to authorize the collection of certain search and rescue service costs.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of South Dakota:

Section 1. That a NEW SECTION be added:

34-48A-55. Search and rescue services--Costs--Limitation.

The state and any political subdivision that provides search and rescue services may collect the cost of the search and rescue services provided in a national park, national forest, or state park from any person for whose benefit the services are conducted, not to exceed one thousand dollars per person benefitted.
