An Act to revise provisions authorizing state employees to opt-out of the state employee health plan.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of South Dakota:

Section 1. That § 3-6E-4 be AMENDED:

3-6E-4. Enrollment of all eligible employees--Exception.

Each plan-eligible employee shall be enrolled in the plan unless the employee is covered by another group health plan either as a dependent or spouse or is covered by Medicare and the employee provides notice to the plan administrator.
