An Act to permit certain acts at a school honoring or graduation ceremony.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of South Dakota:
Section 1. That § 13-1-66 be AMENDED:
13-1-66. Traditional tribal regalia--Objects of cultural significance--Honor songs--Permissions.
The state, any of its political subdivisions, municipalities,
or any subdivisions thereof
shall of municipalities may
not prohibit any person from wearing traditional tribal
regalia or objects of cultural significance
or from the singing of an honor song at a school honoring
or graduation ceremony. For purposes of this section the term, tribal
regalia or object of cultural significance, means an eagle feather
or, an eagle
plume, or a beaded graduation cap.
