A LEGISLATIVE COMMEMORATION, Commending and honoring the 2019 Tea Area High School Titans Boys Basketball Team.

WHEREAS, the Titans won the Class A High School State Basketball Championship by virtue of the team's outstanding character, and teamwork; and

WHEREAS, after trailing by three at the half of the championship game, the Titans dominated in third quarter performance to defeat the second-ranked Sioux Falls Christian Chargers and to solidify their spot as the No. 1 team in the state and win the Class A championship; and

WHEREAS, the Titans were led by an influential host of seniors who worked hard to ensure that their team brought a full effort each time they appeared on the court; and

WHEREAS, the Titans understood that hard work was needed to be successful which helped the Titans earn the Class A basketball title for the second time in school history:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT COMMEMORATED, by the Ninety-Fifth Legislature of the State of South Dakota, that the Legislature commends and honors the Tea Area High School Titans 2019 Boys Basketball team for its teamwork, hard work, and incredible dedication, which led to victory in the Class A Basketball Championship Game.
