FOR AN ACT ENTITLED, An Act  to consolidate the duties of the Governor's Advisory Committee on Employment of Individuals with Disabilities under the Board of Vocational Rehabilitation.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA:
     Section  1.  That § 60-7-1 be amended to read as follows:
     60-7-1.   There The Board of Vocational Rehabilitation is hereby created designated as the Governor's Advisory Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities and shall perform the duties of the Governor's advisory committee on employment of people with disabilities, which shall consist of fifteen or more residents of the state of South Dakota to be chosen from representation from industry, labor, private business, veterans' organizations, private organizations, and public agencies interested in people with disabilities. Members of the committee shall be appointed by the Governor to serve at his pleasure without compensation .
     Section  2.  That § 60-7-2 be amended to read as follows:
     60-7-2.   The Governor's Advisory Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities shall promote and solicit employment opportunities for qualified physically and mentally

impaired

individuals with disabilities and conduct a public education program concerning the abilities of people with disabilities to live productive lives independently .
     Section  3.  That § 60-7-3 be repealed.
     60-7-3.   The committee shall elect from its own membership a chairman, first vice-chairman, second vice-chairman, secretary-treasurer, and three executive board members at its annual fall meeting to serve for a two-year term or until his successor has been elected and qualified.
     Section  4.  That § 60-7-4 be repealed.
     60-7-4.   The officers and executive board members mentioned in §   60-7-3 shall constitute the executive committee of the Governor's advisory committee on employment of people with disabilities.
     Section  5.  That § 60-7-5 be repealed.
     60-7-5.   The committee shall meet not less than twice annually to perform its duties. Those members in attendance shall constitute a quorum for the conduct of business.
     Section  6.  That § 60-7-6 be repealed.
     60-7-6.   The committee shall establish procedures governing its internal affairs, not otherwise inconsistent with the statutes of the state of South Dakota, and keep and submit to the Governor minutes of its meetings. The committee shall file an annual report.
