FOR AN ACT ENTITLED, An Act
to change the number of days of notice that must be given
to the county commissioners for special sessions.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA:
Section 1. That § 7-8-14 be amended to read as follows:
7-8-14. The board of county commissioners shall meet and hold sessions for the transaction of business at the courthouse or at the usual place of holding court
on the first Tuesdays
in
January, April, July, and October of each year, and may adjourn from time to time; and the
county auditor or the chairman of the board of county commissioners
shall have power to
may
call special sessions
when
if
the interests of the county demand it
upon
by
giving three days'
notice of
such
the special
session by mailing a copy of
such
the
notice to each of the county
commissioners at their several post office addresses or by giving
such
one day
notice to each
commissioner by telephone.
