FOR AN ACT ENTITLED, An Act
to repeal certain provisions regarding quarters allowance
for certain enlisted men with dependents.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA:
Section 1. That § 33-7-2 be repealed.
33-7-2.
Enlisted men of the national guard of the lower four pay grades with dependents
who are on active duty during the annual active duty training period, and not receiving federal
basic allowance for quarters, shall be paid a sum equal to the federal basic allowance for
quarters as provided by the statutes of the United States for reserve enlisted men.
Section 2. That § 33-7-5 be repealed.
33-7-5.
The officially designated pay agent of each unit of the national guard shall at the
close of the annual active duty training camp certify to the state auditor the total amount of
payments for each quarters allowance as authorized in
§
33-7-2, and the same shall be paid
directly to such officially designated pay agent of each unit who shall remit the payment upon
proper voucher to the enlisted man entitled thereto.
