FOR AN ACT ENTITLED, An Act to authorize landowners and lessees to possess certain game
animal and game bird trophies.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA:
Section 1. That chapter 41-14 be amended by adding thereto a NEW SECTION to read as follows:

Section 1. That chapter 41-14 be amended by adding thereto a NEW SECTION to read as follows:
If any landowner or lessee finds a skull, antler, or carcass of a game animal or game bird on
the landowner's property or on property occupied by the lessee, and if the landowner or lessee
within five days submits to the Department of Game, Fish and Parks an affidavit that the animal
was not taken illegally, the person is vested with lawful possession of the skull, antler, or
carcass.
