FOR AN ACT ENTITLED, An Act to
prohibit certain persons from holding elected county
office.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA:
Section 1. That chapter 7-7 be amended by adding thereto a NEW SECTION to read as follows:

No person may hold any county office who is a defaulter to the county.

A defaulter is a person who is delinquent in paying the person's property taxes as defined in

10-21-23.
