FOR AN ACT ENTITLED, An Act to
revise the definition of basic local exchange service for
the purposes of regulating telecommunications services.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA:
Section 1. That subdivision (19) of § 49-31-1 be amended to read as follows:

"Local exchange service," the access to and transmission of two-way
voice grade
switched telecommunications service within a local exchange area
with a bandwidth
of 300 hertz to 3,000 hertz, inclusive
