FOR AN ACT ENTITLED, An Act to
require certain state vehicles to use ethanol or biodiesel
blend.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA:
Section 1. Each motor vehicle owned or leased by the state shall be fueled with ethanol blend or biodiesel blend fuel if it is available. Each state-owned fuel terminal or facility for fueling state vehicles shall provide a supply of ethanol blend or biodiesel blend fuel in quantities sufficient to meet normal fueling needs at the terminal or facility.
Section 2. That § 10-47B-3 be amended by adding thereto a NEW SUBDIVISION to read as follows:
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA:

Each state-owned fuel terminal or facility for fueling state vehicles shall provide a supply of ethanol blend or biodiesel blend fuel in quantities sufficient to meet normal fueling needs at the terminal or facility.
Section 2. That § 10-47B-3 be amended by adding thereto a NEW SUBDIVISION to read as follows:
"Biodiesel blend," a blended motor fuel containing a minimum of two percent by volume of
biodiesel fuel. Biodiesel fuel oil is a biodegradable, combustible liquid fuel derived from
vegetable oils or animal fats that is suitable for blending with diesel fuel oil for use in internal
combustion diesel engines.
