FOR AN ACT ENTITLED, An Act to
appropriate money to the West River Foundation to
assist the City of Box Elder.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA:
Section 1. There is hereby appropriated from community development block grant or economic development funds available the sum of one million eight hundred thousand dollars ($1,800,000), or so much thereof as may be necessary, to the West River Foundation for extending infrastructure to Interstate Highway 90, Exit 67 and aiding in relocation of existing business and property interests effected by the closure of Interstate Highway 90, Exit 66.
Section 2. The commissioner of the Governor's Office of Economic Development shall approve vouchers and the state auditor shall draw warrants to pay expenditures authorized by this Act. All funds expended for such projects shall be in compliance with the currently published Ellsworth Air Force Base Air Installation Compatible Use Zone Study.
Section 3. Any amounts appropriated in this Act not lawfully expended or obligated by June 30, 2002, shall revert in accordance with § 4-8-21.
