A LEGISLATIVE COMMEMORATION,
Honoring the 2000 Corsica Comets High School
football team, coaches, and staff involved in the football program.
WHEREAS,
the 2000 Corsica Comets High School football team won the Class 9-B State
High School Football Championship by defeating Timber Lake 20 to 18, ending with an 11-1
record through outstanding character, dedication, and perseverance; and
WHEREAS,
head coach Steve Entringer and assistant coach Chad Hedderman and their staff
provided excellent leadership and superior wisdom to the members of the team; and
WHEREAS,
Darin Rus was named the most valuable player and Jordan Reiminitz was
named the most valuable back; and
WHEREAS,
the students of the 2000 Corsica Comets football team showed enormous
school pride and great leadership on and off the field:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT COMMEMORATED,
by the Seventy-sixth Legislature of the
State of South Dakota, that the 2000 Corsica Comets High School football team be recognized
for their excellence in athletics for the 2000-2001 school year.
