A LEGISLATIVE COMMEMORATION,  Commending and Honoring Dr. Tony Berg of Winner, South Dakota, for being selected the 2000 Family Doctor of the Year.

     WHEREAS,  Dr. Tony Berg, in addition to being a highly respected and valued member of his local community, established the Family Practice Clinic in Winner and has also been instrumental in maintaining two rural health satellite clinics; and

     WHEREAS,  Dr. Berg also serves as an assistant Clinical Professor for the University of South Dakota Medical School, an ACLS instructor for the Winner Regional Healthcare Center, and Medical Examiner for the Federal Aviation Administration, as well as an EMT instructor for Winner and the surrounding communities; and

     WHEREAS,  Dr. Berg is currently a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Family Physicians, South Dakota Academy of Family Physicians, and the South Dakota State Medical Association:
    

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT COMMEMORATED,  by the Seventy-sixth Legislature of the State of South Dakota, that Dr. Berg be honored and congratulated as a recipient of the 2000 Family Doctor of the Year, and be recognized for his outstanding record of service and community leadership.
