         FOR AN ACT ENTITLED, An Act to  revise certain provisions regarding the use of a temporary thirty-day license permit for certain motor vehicles.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA:
     Section  1.  That § 32-6B-26 be amended to read as follows:
     32-6B-26.   In the case of If a vehicle which is sold by a licensed dealer, the dealer may provide for the vehicle a temporary thirty-day license permit. The permit authorizes the both commercial and noncommercial operation of the vehicle upon the highways of this state for a period of thirty days after the date of sale , or until the time the purchaser receives his regular license plates from the county treasurer, whichever comes first. If the vehicle is being operated as a commercial motor vehicle, requiring compliance with chapter 32-9, the county treasurer shall collect commercial motor vehicle fees pursuant to §  32-9-15 starting with the date of sale of the motor vehicle.
