FOR AN ACT ENTITLED, An Act to
allow for certain school district transfers.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA:
Section 1. That chapter 13-16 be amended by adding thereto a NEW SECTION to read as follows:

Notwithstanding the provisions of
§
13-16-26, if a school district has passed an election for
consolidation or dissolution in accordance with chapter 13-6, the school district may transfer
money from its capital outlay fund to its general fund upon approval of the governing board of
the school district.
