FOR AN ACT ENTITLED, An Act to
provide for the monitoring by the Department of Labor
of all written and electronically filed reports of injury, all payments for reported injuries, and
compliance with all reporting and payment timeliness, and to clarify the legal status of such
monitored information.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA:
Section 1. That chapter 62-6 be amended by adding thereto a NEW SECTION to read as follows:

The Department of Labor shall monitor electronically all reports of injury, all payments for
reported injuries, and compliance with all reporting and payment timeliness.

Any information monitored pursuant to section 1 of this Act is a public record within the
