         FOR AN ACT ENTITLED, An Act to  provide for a study of medicaid.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA:
     Section  1.  The Executive Board of the Legislative Research Council shall establish an interim committee to study ways in which to achieve greater efficiency in health care delivery for the medicaid recipients in the state. The committee shall specifically study ways to improve care, reduce costs, and empower the recipients of medicaid with choices in services. The committee shall invite the testimony of health care providers, recipients of medicaid, and any other interested parties. A report of the committee shall be presented to the 2008 Legislative Session.
