A LEGISLATIVE COMMEMORATION, Commending and honoring the Belle Fourche Middle School students for their dedication to South Dakota's World War II veterans.

    WHEREAS, students of the Belle Fourche Middle School have shown exemplary patriotism and dedication to the veterans of South Dakota; and

    WHEREAS, the students of the Belle Fourche Middle School embarked on a fundraiser to augment funds for Honor Flight South Dakota; and

    WHEREAS, their fundraiser consisted of a penny jar in each classroom for a four-day period, raising over $1,700; and

    WHEREAS, theirs was a simple patriotic response; they recognized their civic duty and acted accordingly:

    NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT COMMEMORATED, by the Eighty-fifth Legislature of the State of South Dakota, that the Belle Fourche Middle School students be commended and honored for their ongoing dedication to the veterans of South Dakota.
