AN ACT
ENTITLED, An Act to
authorize the Board of Regents to purchase improved real property adjacent
to the campus of South Dakota State University and to make an appropriation therefor.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA:
Section 1. The Board of Regents may purchase improved real property adjacent to the campus of South Dakota State University at a cost of two hundred ninety-five thousand dollars. The real property being described as follows: the West Three Hundred and Seventy-One Feet (W371') of the East Five Hundred and Forty-Eight Feet (E548') of the South Two Hundred and Seventy-Six Feet (S276'), subject to a One Hundred Foot (100') Highway right of way, located in the West Half of the Southeast Quarter (W½SE¼) of Section Thirteen (13), Township One Hundred Ten (110), Range Fifty (50), City of Brookings, Brookings County, South Dakota.
Section 2. There is hereby appropriated from the grant and contract indirect recovery, plant, and royalty funds the sum of two hundred ninety-five thousand dollars ($ 295,000 ), or so much thereof as may be necessary, to the Board of Regents for the purchase of the property specified in section 1 of this Act.
Section 3. The Board of Regents may sell and dismantle any improvements on this property.
Section 4. The executive director of the Board of Regents shall approve vouchers and the state auditor shall draw warrants to pay expenditures authorized by this Act.
